EasyMech MR & Classic Screens: Government Health Complex, Hobart TAS 

We install nation-wide! Here’s a prime example of a project we assisted with in the design, engineering, manufacturing and installation; located in Hobart, Tasmania.

Situated on the roof of a brand-new emergency services complex, the client was installing new HVAC&R machinery and required new plant decks to house them. Our team worked with the architecture firm to decipher the best solutions for this site. As the building was a new development, our engineers worked with the lead architect to bump up the purlins so that our 100% penetration-free platforms, EasyMech MR, can be used.

Engineered to a live-load rating of 2.5kPa, our team installed three EasyMechMR (purlin mounted) HVAC plant platform systems, along with our ClassicScreenWall systems and aluminium walkways. Platform sizes on this project vary from 36m2 to 66m2.

Our HVAC systems, which are rafter-mounted & purlin-mounted, require no hot works, providing a lightweight and ultra-strong solution for housing HVAC&R machinery.

In order to blend the bulky machinery with the aesthetics of the new build, our ClassicScreen Wall system was an optimal solution. Standing at 1600mm and 1800mm high on all the three platforms, powder-coated in Colorbonds® colour – Surfmist. This system is quick to install with no cutting or welding required, providing a clean and smooth finish.
