There is a high probability that when you look at the roof of a Coles store in Australia you are looking at a Con-form Group platform-screen-accessway system.

Con-form Group is the go-to for Coles, Woolworths and Aldi when they want to hide their rooftop HVAC&R equipment and minimise noise levels.

Thornlands Coles store features three of our core solutions: EasyMech MR© (metal roof) platform, Acoustic+© sound barrier and LouvreWall© screen. Along with Walkway and Guardrail from the EasyAccess© range.

What made this project different was that two sides of the nine-metre by almost 23-metre platform have Acoustic+© and the other two sides have LouvreWall©.

Acoustic+© captures unwanted noise with its three-way absorb-reflect-absorb operation. At its core is a polyethylene material made from recycled products. The panel was developed for Con-form Group by a team including our engineers and acoustic industry professionals. Acoustic+©  can be tuned to suit the noise output of each individual site. The louvred sides allow a minimum of 55% air flow through to keep the plant equipment running efficiently. A clever combination.

All of these products are lightweight and modular. They are very easy to crane onto the roof and assemble and they apply minimal weight to the roof structure. For example, EasyMech MR© is only 14kg per square metre and the Acoustic+ range starts with a surface density of only 7kg per m2.

The 2800mm high panels are finished in an attractive Colorbond Surf Mist colour to complement the building.
