What differences do you notice about these wall frames?

The one built by Con-form Group features engineer-designed triangulated frames with multiple downward fixings to our steel platform for optimum stability and wind load performance. Each component was designed, tested and manufactured in-house. In this case, it is supporting our Acoustic+ noise mitigation modular wall.

The other frame, which one of our installation teams discovered on a worksite, has a single support with a single sideways-mounted fastener. This design directs lateral movement and pressure from the wall down to that lone fastener which is doomed to fail. Not only because it is on its own, but due to its horizontal positioning.

As we work on building rooftops across the nation, we keep finding examples of poor engineering. It has to be said: you get what you pay for.
